KeePassX: Open URL Function in Ubuntu Linux

The “Open URL” function does not work with the default settings for KeePassX in Ubuntu Linux. To make it work, go to Extras/Settings/Other tab and change the “Browser command” to firefox %1

Now when you highlight an entry and press CTRL + U, it will open a new Firefox window or tab.

    Hi,

Your suggestion works correctly & opens a new tab in FireFox. I get i.e. a Windows Live login screen (hotmail), but
the Windows Live ID is not filled in nor is the password.

Any idea as to how to get these fields filled in?

    Regards,

    Rich

Rich: Unfortunately, CTRL+U only opens the URL specified. It does not automatically fill the passwords for you.

To fill the username and password fields, press CTRL+V. You can see all of the available options by right clicking on any of your saved credentials.
